Manifest Density

OK, so here's what I think is hilarious/alarming about Chimpy. In all of our tirades against him and his regime, there's always been at least a little gray area wiggle room, relative truths depending on whether or not you're an intelligent human being or a lizard-brained red stater who thinks that because Bush said it, it must be true. Kind of an Americanized version of the Pope, where no matter what crap falls out of his mouth, he's God's annointed man-child on earth and his word is the word of God. Amen. Must be nice to have that kind of complete disconnect from reality, huh? Anyhow.

Here's what I think the main problem is. When faced with something absolute, where there is no room at ALL for interpretation, something either IS or IS NOT, the boy prince actually thinks that his word can override science. Palmeiro tested positive for steroids. END OF STORY. Yet Bush, in true Christian fashion, thinks that just because he believes something it automatically fucking makes it so.

So, with this kind of bold face bullshit thrown out there, how much longer are the blind going to follow the bland? My CAT read that and said, "Uh...seriously. Come on."

With his approval ratings dropping faster than Slim Pickens riding a bomb (if you listen closely you can actually hear the whistling effect) you'd think that Bush would be a little more careful about what he's saying nowadays, you know, lest he begin to scrape those numbers that invite investigation and/or impeachment...but no, this is the time to get aggressive! Just say whatever the fuck is on your mind! Fuck it!

Then, go on vacation again.

It's very subtle, how the behavior of the President and this administration, erodes the ability of his followers to accept the truth and formulate questions of ethics. In effect, encouraging "resolve" and discouraging thought and doubt.

And him being on permanent vacation is just the most blatently shameful and arrogant thing I've ever seen.

I LOVE that you call him, "Chimpy". Maybe it's a good thing that he's taking a lot of vacation since he seems to fuck up anything he does when he's "working". I wish he'd go on vacation for the rest of his term although I believe there are even more sinister and evil forces at work in his administration than the fool that looks like a Chimp.

I don't think I'd have as much problem with Bush's ridiculous amount of vacation time if he advocated for that sort of vacation time for regular working Americans. But he should be held to the same miserable labor standards that he would push on every other American worker. He should have absolutely zero rights, 2 weeks of paid vacation and some crappy HMO health insurance coverage that he has to pay half of. He's our employee, and he's been nothing but a fucking slacker. He wouldn't last a week working for McDonalds with his work ethic.

Funny how in California they can work up enough cash for a "recall" and ditch the governor but we can't seem to do it on a national level. Has anyone done the research into what would be required? As I recall from Government classes in High School, the president can be recalled...

John, you have a great point.. lol

Suffering my 2 weeks paid vacation right now (I have a cold, and can't afford to take more sick time) I agree with both sides of this one... My dad, an English mailman, gets 8 weeks!!
I'm all for 8 weeks paid vacation. For me, not Bush. Bush needs a permanent one. Unpaid.
